I like him as a personality, but he's does need of a producer/editor. I would rather see him under some direction rather than him doing his own thing.
I think he tries too hard to be relevant...reaching for news where there is none and rating every game high.
Some don't like his persona, finding it cliche. Is it artificial? Yes, but it's hip-hop...an act, a performance, entertainment.
three Russell Meyer 70's soft porn flicks doesn't get to determine what is art and what isn't. Anyone who can write can be a film critic.
as watching Bayonetta dance.
is largely dismissed because...it not necessarily hierarchical. Needs can come in any order. Social needs may valued higher than money, for example, and people often look to accommodate multiple needs at the same time.
Maslow's like Freud, good pop psychology to get across simple concepts. But it doesn't really the reality of the situation justice.
...they can't get a job elsewhere.
1) Are looking to capitalize on the situation, at least in the short term (i.e., promotions and raises)
2) Are disgruntled workers who are enjoying all the drama and turmoil.
3) Are not good enough to get a job elsewhere.
but I was sick of the hype. I avoided any article on Killzone weeks before it released - saving my excitement for the game.
LBP and MAG doesn't belong on that list. Not a game, but Natal definitely is overhyped.
I wish everyone was like this everytime- still trying hard as nails to top each other but giving credit when credit is due. And there is a lot of good things to say about all platforms.
Like Pimp C said - "Ain't nobody trippin' cause da money's already made."
Kevin Butler is a character. In this case he is like the San Diego Chicken kicking dirt on an umpire's shooes or Crash Bandicoot outside Nintendo headquarters with a megaphone. He is a mascot takng jabs at the other team.
I know he isn't in a animal suit...but you get the idea.
like many of you avoid HHG...except I really don't click on the link.
especially if its about a new product? I could care less about the Nintendon'ts and what-not if it is in commercial. They are suppose to differentiate the product. Why would I expect otherwise.
And you have a poor sense of humor if you think that was funny.
Really!
Stupid article...
If he spoofed the commercial on video, maybe...but this was just a teenage rant. It read like every other comment I read on N4G. The humor in the commercial was in the build up and delivery. This had neither.
I mean how would you aim?
While the 3D stuff is not much of a leap from EyeToy, the voice recognition ish and hand gestures would truly be revolutionary in my opinion.
this is much like Move implementation in SOCOM. PS3 players will be able to play it with the Move too.
Still this will be an important jump not only in the game controls. Look forward to hearing more games for both.
I thought XCOM was a turn-based strategy game.
I know everyone loves to hate HHG, but he's dead on here about SVT technology.
Sparse Virtual Texturing allows large textures with less RAM, by only using what is needed, streaming textures from the HDD, and using pixel shaders to virtually map textures.
This isn't new either. The problem for me is saying Gigs of texture. To me it only simulates having Gigs of texture. Unlike some, I don't claim to be an expert, so it may be accurate since XBox is a monster at dec...
Metal Gear is something that I grew up with. It was the second game I obsessed over after Super Mario Bros. It would be hard for another game to compete. The primary reason, like dude in the video, is the complex story and unforgettable characters. I don't think I would have gotten into the Playstation or become an avid gamer if it wasn't for Metal Gear Solid.
Gameplay-wise, I think Tenchu, Splinter Cell or even a Batman: Arkham Asylum rank up there Metal Gear.
I can pretend to be interested and say I'll buy later in the year.
I don't know how I can avoid every single Destructoid article, while some idiots are magically drawn to that "awful Hip Hop Gamer". And when they do, they don't hit the back button. They are compelled to do it. I guess its Hip Hop Gamer's fault -- he's so tricky with those headlines.
SWEET CHRISTMAS, YOU CAN F'IN TELL IT IS FLAMEBAIT BY JUST LOOKING AT THE TITLE. ARE YOU THAT SIMPLE THAT YOU CLICK IT ANYWAY?
I'm not defending HHG. He does do good work,...
